What a test log looks like

Every review opens with one. This is a blank sample.

  1. Day 1Set up as a parent would, screen-recorded.
  2. Week 2We try the workarounds teens use, on a test child profile.

How we test

  • We pay for it. Bought with our own card. No free reviewer accounts.
  • We record it. Setup and workaround attempts are screen-recorded.
  • We say what we missed. Every review lists what we couldn’t test.
  • We label our links. Affiliate links say so. So do the ones that aren’t.

Scam of the Week

The “grandkid in trouble” phone call

“Grandma, it’s me. I’m in trouble and I need money. Please don’t tell Mom.”

The tell: a rush plus a secret. Hang up and call your grandchild on the number you already have.

How every test runs

The same five steps for every product, so you can compare one review with another.

  1. Buy it. Our own card, the plan a family would pick.
  2. Set it up. On ordinary phones and laptops, recorded start to finish.
  3. Try to beat it. Known workarounds and harmless industry test files. Never real malware.
  4. Live with it. Normal family use for the length of the test, logged by date.
  5. Check back. Prices re-checked monthly. Big product changes get a dated update.
